30 Rock

NBC’s 30 Rock is known for its quick-wit humor and network television shows are no strangers to corporate product placement. In more than one episode spanning across different seasons, the show has taken its advertised products and written them in as jokes in the dialogue.

The next example is almost more obvious, as Liz Lemon breaks the fourth wall to ask sponsor Verizon Wireless, “Can we have our money now?”
With this first example of the Snapple scene, 30 Rock not only gets paid to show Snapple in the episode, but also has the opportunity to satirize the whole concept of product integration in media. They are able to poke fun at the concept of embedded marketing, and themselves (seen when Pete says to Liz, “I can’t believe you guys actually wrote a product integration sketch”), while providing a humorous social commentary on the media’s use of product placement.
